Devika Rao has joined O’Neill Communications as an account manager. Rao will be responsible, from conceptualization to publishing, for Making A Difference magazine, a quarterly publication for one of the interactive marketing and public relations firm’s biggest clients.

“Devika is a results-oriented professional with great experience in writing for a variety of media and managing her clients effectively and efficiently,” said Gordon O’Neill, chief executive officer of the firm. “She will be a valuable asset to O’Neill Communications and our clients, and we are excited to add her to our team.”

As a freelance writer, Rao has built an extensive portfolio covering business, entertainment, U.S.-India business and cultural relations, and more for various publications locally and nationally. She also writes the weekly column, Doing Good, in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which covers nonprofits, volunteerism and philanthropy in the Greater Metro Atlanta area.

Rao is an Atlanta resident and earned her bachelors degrees in journalism and political science from Penn State University.
