What We Know
2013 has been a big year for O’Neill Communications! Our goal at the beginning of the year was to expand the business to offer more capabilities and services to our current and future clients. As we took on some new clients, we were able to hire new employees and that meant we needed a bigger office space!
The new office features an open floor plan and a cozy living area to foster creativity and collaboration. We’ve updated our technology, adding HD display screens to showcase our website work and Apple TVs with Airplay in lieu of a projector for internal and client meetings. The new office gives us space to grow even larger over the next several years as we continue to add top-notch employees to bring their expertise to the firm.
This fall, we welcomed three new employees to our team:
Derek Hughes - Senior Account Manager
Tiffany Smith - Social Media Manager
Julissa Jimenez - Operations Manager
Derek brings a wealth of outstanding marketing communications and account management skills to the firm. Prior to joining O’Neill Communications, Derek was the manager of brand marketing and special projects at the Collegiate Licensing Company/IMG in Atlanta, where he created and executed the strategic direction of product brands and developed retail marketing initiatives for top national retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Walmart andLids. He will be responsible for managing the firm’s top clients and fostering new business opportunities in the sports industry. Derek is an Atlanta resident and earned his bachelor of science in mass communications with a minor in marketing at Kennesaw State University.
With the social media industry constantly evolving and more clients requesting online communities, we felt it was time to bring in Tiffany Smith as a full-time social media manager. Previously Tiffany, served as a campaign and operations director at Prime Point Media where she was the lead on all client campaigns, coordinated all email marketing and social media strategies and monitored content across all social media platforms. Her experience will help O’Neill Communications and its clients stay on top of marketplace trends and expand our clients’ Internet presence. Tiffany is an Atlanta resident and earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish for international business at Georgia State University.
And last but not least, Julissa (Julie) Jimenez has joined the firm as operations manager, after many years serving as an accounting associate for Fabric.com. Julie will be working with the firm’s clients and vendors to ensure all deliverables are properly distributed and finance is properly managed. She will be a valuable asset to the efficient management of the firm’s finances, workflow and projects. Julie is a resident of Atlanta and earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Kennesaw State University.
We are excited to welcome all three of them to our team! Since they have joined us, we have launched two new e-commerce sites - www.industrialtape.com and www.peakseasonfoods.com. Business to consumer sites are a new endeavor for O’Neill Communications as most of our former clients have been business-to-business. We are excited about the opportunities and challenges this new platform brings to the firm and look forward to working on other similar projects in the future.
